Performance
How well the gear performs its primary function — keeping you dry, warm, or stable.
Durability
How the gear holds up over time. Stitching, materials, and construction quality.
Weight / Packability
How easily the gear carries when not in use. Important for multi-day trips.
Value
Does the gear deliver at its price point. Not about being cheap — about being worth it.
